Volunteers are AWESOME

Craven young carers are very proud that Sam Athersmith was short listed for the Craven Champions ‘Volunteer of the Year’ award.  The prize ceremony was at the Conniston Hotel and was a lovely evening.  Sam is pictured here with his girlfriend Amy. Thank you Sam – we think you’re AWESOME

DWP staff are AWESOME

The biggest thank you to DWP staff in Leeds for  supporting  young carers and families for the past 10 years.  Today we collected  gifts and hampers to be delivered  in the Harrogate and Craven areas. Such generosity is a sight to behold! THANK YOU      THANK YOU     THANK YOU

Christmas Crafts are Awesome

Craven Young Carers had fun making Christmas crafts last night.  We made elves, baubles and pompom snowpeople.   Thank you to Morrisons for donating sandwich boxes which were delicious.  Also a thank you to Bentham CP School for the use of the Community Room.  Happy Christmas!

Sam Athersmith is AWESOME

Sam is an awesome person for all kinds of reasons.  He has given his freetime to help support young carers at the Skipton youth group for almost 4 years.  Recently, he has raised £500 for Craven Young Carers by having his hair and beard shaved off.  Sam is Awesome!

The Yorkshire Dales is an Awesome Place

Craven Young Carers had a fab time lighting fires and tramping around Malham Tarn.  Sarah Deane from the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust Green Guardians Project lead the way, and eventually the sun came out.  Thank you for supporting young carers.  The Yorkshire Dales is an awesome place.
