Young Carers Awareness Day- Stray FM Interview 2020
Azania with Lisa from Stray FM
Lisa from Stray FM invited Azania down to the Stray FM studio with Sarah Beard, Young Carers Worker in Harrogate. Lisa interviewed Azania and Sarah to help raise awareness for Young Carers’ Awareness Day which took place on 30th January 2020. Azania was amazing and it was great to hear what a fabulous job she does as a Young Carer at home supporting her Brother.
Junk Yard Golf Trip Feb Half Term 2020
Crazy Golf with a Difference
We took 12 Young Carers’ to Leeds in Feb Half Term to Junk Yard Golf. This was a new trip venue for everyone. We all loved it. The crazy golf course included a RAVE room. We all had drinks nachos/hot dogs afterwards in the bar area. This is a trip we hope to repeat. Thanks as always to our donators that enable us to go on these trips and give our amazing Young Carers’ a break.

Half Term Climbing Trip Feb 2020
Thanks to generous donations we were able to take 13 Young Carers age 7-11 to a climbing party in Harrogate. When the Young Carers’ were asked if they had a good time one Young Carer said not a good time a ‘Great’ time.

Great fun was had last night at youth group in Skipton. We made funny edible faces from healthy ingredients and then gobbled them up
Baking at Betty’s
Thank you Betty’s Cookery school for letting us come along for wonderful morning of bread making. We also got to go behind the scenes in the Betty’s factory to see all the bread and confectionery being made. Our favorites were the hundreds of french fondants 😀
